Roush enjoyed the opportunity to speak with leaders in the advanced mobility sector at this week's Automotive Testing Expo. Visitors learned about our unique ability to shorten product development times by providing durability, emissions, and performance validation in various test environments – on test track, public roads and in advanced simulations.
CYMI: Last fall, Jack Roush returned to his roots in drag racing, spending a day at Milan Dragway shaking down his newly restored 1974 Mustang II Pro Stock drag car. This marked the first time in over 30 years the car had made a pass down a drag strip. Supported by a team from Roush’s Competition Engines, Engine Build and Specialty Vehicles groups, Jack reminisced about Gapp & Roush pro stockers driven by Roush and his business partner Wayne Gapp earned three national championships. After an intensive 5+ year restoration, the team spent much of the day tweaking suspension combinations and adjusting the clutch in search of a perfect launch. A master of understatement, Jack noted that he was very pleased that after having spent so many years focused on NASCAR vehicle set ups, his drag racing instincts were “still appropriate.”
