DSP of the Week: Lesta of Indiana MENTOR says, "I like having a positive impact on the lives of the people we support, but I also believe they make a positive impact on my life. Being able to support them and build these meaningful relationships, it is like having another family here. One of our favorite things to do together is Special Olympics. Seeing them participate and enjoying the events makes everyone's day!" Thank you for all that you do Lesta!

DSP of the Week: Cristina, Creative Home Programs, California I enjoy being part of the development and personal growth of the individuals we support. It is fulfilling to see how proud they are when they achieve their goals. Some of my favorite things to do with them out in the community include going to the library for story time, shopping at the supermarket, and just walking through our community together. Thank you Cristina for your dedication and commitment!

DSP of the Week: Rhonda of Georgia MENTOR says, I have a passion for serving the people we support and enjoy making sure the woman I currently assist feels safe and secure in her environment by helping her with whatever she needs. Since I'm overnight staff I don't get to accompany her on outings, but we always talk about what she enjoyed during the day and we love to sing and watch television together. Thank you Rhonda!

DSP of the Week: Crystal of MENTOR Adult Day Health, Kentucky, says: "I choose to work in a direct support role because I love to help people. I love getting to know the people we serve, caring for them, and being a helping hand with whatever they need. Before COVID-19, one of my favorite things to do out in the community with the people I serve was to take them out to their favorite restaurants to see the joy on their faces, and listening to them laugh with me when we would sing songs together. I look forward to more of those outings." Congratulations and thank you Crystal!
