I love assisting them with daily activities like cooking, supporting their choices and lifestyles, taking them to medical appointments, teaching them money management, and most of all increasing their independence so that they know anything is possible! My absolute favorite outing is going to Special Olympics competitions. I love to see the smiles on their faces when they do their best and compete. I’ll never forget when they placed 1st and 2nd! We celebrated for a week and talked about it for weeks on end.” Congratulations and thank you for your commitment to those we serve.

My family needs help every once and a while and I feel this is my way of giving back. I love taking the people we serve out into the community. My favorite thing to do with them is to go to the movies. I also love it when we go shopping and out to eat. I feel they get a lot out of being out in the community—they smile more and get excited when they know they are going somewhere. It’s so rewarding to watch the children we work with reach milestones that their parents and I have been helping them work towards.
