At Stella McCartney, we strive to create a kinder, more sustainable fashion industry, encouraging our employees to grow together. We asked Zoe De Sales, our Global Marketing Assistant, about her career journey at Stella McCartney so far… “Earlier this year I started as Graduate Social Media Assistant, which gave me a deep understanding of the brand’s essence. With social media as a key platform for showcasing the Stella McCartney identity, I gained valuable insights into how we communicate our vision. I have since had the opportunity to transition into a permanent role within the Marketing team, taking a holistic view of the brand and extending my experience of working in one channel to multiple channels. This shift allowed me to strengthen my skills in collaboration and adaptability, making the move both seamless and rewarding. I’m incredibly grateful for the talented and inspiring team I work with, whose support and recognition of my potential made this new role possible.” – Zoe De Sales

INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY: Magnificent mothers. Sisters. Partners, daughters, friends, wives… 1 in 3 women experience violence and the most common cause of death for pregnant women in the US is from their own partners killing them… "Let’s love women… Celebrate them… Give them equal billing in the boardroom… We all came from a woman… Let’s respect ourselves and love ourselves and let’s hope this world sees us with true clarity… Because we are spectacular! I am proud to be a woman with morals and love to spread across Mother Earth. Let’s give the biggest mother of all respect and treat her with grace and kindness. And to all the female creatures we co-inhabit this precious planet with, they need our kindness and protection more than ever… To the billions of cows that endure unimaginable grief and fear every day, giving up their babies for veal and their babies’ milk to humans with no choice… The list is endless… Stella McCartney is one of the few female-founded and led independent fashion houses, and I am proud to say women make up the majority of our team. I am constantly impressed by you, and celebrate you every day but especially today... x Stella"

STELLA CAREERS: At Stella McCartney, we strive to create a kinder, more sustainable fashion industry, encouraging our employees to grow together. We asked Serena Mascetti, our Digital Trading Manager about her career journey at Stella McCartney so far… “I joined Stella McCartney 6 years ago as Junior Digital Merchandiser, working up to Digital Trading Manager. During this period, I have grown a lot professionally – with the chance to work across various projects, from merchandising to buying, re-platforming the website to exciting new collection launches. I can truly say that no two days are the same! The chance to work with so many departments across the business, collaborating to promote the brand and our incredible products is what makes the Digital team and working at Stella McCartney so special.” Discover our current opportunities: https://lnkd.in/e4rEPJ5u
Our Sustainability team hosted an inaugural CSRD engagement session at our Stella McCartney Milan office with sustainability experts from other fashion houses, consulting firms and universities – coming together for a day of collaborative dialogues and to define relevant ESG impacts. The key aim was to discuss and highlight the most significant Impacts, Risks and Opportunities related to ESG topics in fashion. The priorities are vast and varied, however we found mutual agreement across the need for traceability, transparency and awareness within our supply chains. The session will be the first of many that Stella McCartney will host – part of our commitments to collaboration, engagement and sharing as vital components of our sustainability development and innovation strategy. Our Impact Report Year 2023 is now available, outlining how we are driving progress across five key pillars at the centre of our sustainability strategy: materials and innovation, social compliance, emissions control, traceability and biodiversity. We take a responsibility for the resources that we use and the impact we have on people, animals and the planet. We recognise that this goes beyond our sourcing, production and the lifespan of our products. We believe that the key to creating meaningful, widespread change is collaboration and have continued investing in our longstanding partnerships whilst making way for new ones. The report features data, performance highlights and progress against our targets from our 2023 fiscal year (1 January to 31 December 2023). We will continue to make significant progress on mapping our products' value chains and impacts, leveraging this knowledge to drive impact reductions and strategic advancements in line with the evolving regulatory landscape. There is more work to be done, but we believe we can affect far-reaching positive changes – together. Discover the full Impact Report Year 2023 below.
