October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a cause that holds a special place in our hearts, especially for Stella McCartney. We had the privilege of welcoming the Future Dreams Breast Cancer Charity, who shared their incredible work supporting those affected by breast cancer, including the importance of self-checking and recognizing signs and symptoms. This initiative is a vital part of our wellbeing offering and has been deeply appreciated by everyone. Together, we can make a difference.

This week we presented our Summer 2025 runway show, led by a ‘Save What You Love’ manifesto narrated by Helen Mirren. The show is a celebration of and call to action for birds, presenting a collection crafted without harming a single creature. The collection reimagines codes of power, sensuality and sport in tactile fabrics and soft shades, punctuated by red and sky tones. Focal is the Stella Ryder, our new vegan icon – with a curved shape mirroring a horse’s back, a nod to Stella’s favourite animal. Models hold Stella Times newspapers, informing on the collection and Stella’s pioneering vision. This season, ready-to-wear is innovated with 91% conscious materials, including bespoke pieces created by The Royal Mint with recovered gold and silver.

This week we celebrate the Mid-Autumn Moon Festival in China and Hong Kong. Also called the Mooncake Festival or the Moon Festival, the festival has over 3000 years history whereby people worship the moon to give thanks for the harvest and to encourage the harvest giving light to the upcoming year. In modern times there are more sufficient food supplies, but the mid-autumn festival is still significant because the full moon during the festival is a symbol of family reunions, prayers for good health and happiness.

As our SoHo store recently closed for renovations, our US Retail Manager Alisha Gaston-Ruth gathered the team at our NYC Head Office for an in-depth training session, focusing on the Stella Client Experience. In addition to training, the team gave back to the community, by volunteering with God's Love We Deliver, an organization that provides nutritious, medically tailored meals to individuals living with serious illnesses across New York City. Despite the name, God's Love We Deliver is a non-religious organization, rooted in the belief that no one should suffer from hunger or malnutrition while battling severe health conditions. To recharge, the team also participated in a group sound bath wellness activity. Sound baths are immersive experiences using vibrational sounds that promote relaxation, reduce stress, and strengthen unity- perfect for restoring energy and focus after a productive two days. "At Stella McCartney SoHo, we embody the brand's ethos by delivering an exceptional client experience rooted in our rich history and commitment to diversity. Through meaningful connections and expert knowledge of our products, we aim to expand our audience by resonating with the fashion-conscious and trendsetting community, ensuring that every interaction reflects the innovative spirit of Stella McCartney." -Team SoHo

The StellaCommUnity came together to celebrate Pride Month at our London HQ – both a reflection on and recognition of the LGBTQIA+ community, within our teams and beyond. The evening featured the talents of drag performer Woe Adams and glitter artist Jayanti Carerra. Most importantly, it was a reminder of Stella McCartney’s commitment to creating an inclusive workplace – one where everyone feels welcome and able to be themselves. Stella McCartney also joined LVMH at the London Pride Parade; standing in solidarity with the LBGTQIA+ community and celebrating the success of how far acceptance has come, whilst remembering the work that still needs to be done.

In June, LVMH honoured Black Music Month and celebrated with a series of events hosted by our employee group, LVMH Employees of African Descent (LEAD). In London, LEAD UK hosted a celebration inside The Apartment, Maison Louis Vuitton. An insightful evening including a panel discussion that delved into the rich history and contemporary significance of Black music and understanding the Black experience in the UK. A heartfelt thank you to all who participated and contributed to making this event extraordinarily successful. Collectively, we are dedicated to nurturing a community that values respect, education, and the celebration of cultural diversity.

Every year in May, we come together for Mental Health Awareness Week, with the aim of increasing awareness and fostering support for mental health & wellbeing. It is vital that we reinforce our dedication to enhancing well-being and creating a nurturing work environment for every team member. We kickstarted the week with a morning yoga and meditation class in our London HQ followed by an afternoon Positivity, Mindset & Resilience workshop hosted by TED Speaker George Kiley. We turned the SMC world green for 'Wear It Green Day', from our HQ in the UK to Spain, Italy, France, US, Japan and Hong Kong, it was amazing to see the enthusiasm and spirit of our office and retail employees supporting the cause. Finally, launched our Mental Health Awareness training to enable our managers to recognise early signs of mental health issues, understand the support they can offer their team members, and learn how to facilitate constructive discussions about mental health and well-being.

A message from Amandine Ohayon, CEO at Stella McCartney: "I am super passionate about championing next-generation talent at Stella McCartney, so I jumped at the chance to be part of judging the Chalhoub Luxury Challenge for the Master in Communications, Media & Creative Industries at Sciences Po in France. It was a pleasure to work with my fellow judges Florence Bulté (Chief Sustainability Officer, Chalhoub Group) and Marc Ishak (Brand Manager for SMC at Chalhoub) to assess five groups of students who worked on the following challenge: “How to build up Stella McCartney’s desirability in the UEA region having in mind brand DNA and values?” The creativity, positivity and potential we saw was fantastic with some particularly strong ideas around Marketing Communications and I commend all of the participants. I look forward to seeing what lies ahead for these talented individuals and to continuing to support and contribute to the development of future talent".
