The Ashland, VA Distribution Center was very excited to participate in this year’s "Socks Rock" sock drive. Last year they collected 523 pairs of socks, so the Ashland HR team figured, “why not shoot for 600?” Needless to say, the Ashland DC not only managed to reach the goal but to EXCEED the goal collecting a total of 695 pairs of socks! And although participation came from all areas of the Ashland DC, the HR team would be remiss not to give a special shout out to the 1st shift Picking & Replenishment departments managed by Angelica, who alone contributed 270 pairs of socks (shown in all their glory below). What an outstanding job! What is "Socks Rocks"? Four years ago our Region 2 RVP Todd Northcutt took on the challenge to teach his son Chase how to give back to those less fortunate. After doing research he found out that the number one requested item in homeless shelters is clean warm, socks. Working together, Todd and Chase founded "SOCKs ROCK"--an annual collection of socks to donate to homeless shelters! Thank you team for your donations to Chase's campaign!
