Patty Lands Dream Job after Relaunching her Career at Trane Technologies
As a kid, Tyrone Ellis didn't know his love for science and math could lead to a successful career in engineering. It wasn't until a Black engineer visited his school that the spark to pursue an engineering career was ignited in Tyrone. Since then, and throughout his successful engineering career, he has committed to continuously giving back to his community. He's especially passionate about exposing young children to STEM and enabling experiences that encourage curiosity and propel them into STEM careers.
Braden Heisler, a Penn State industrial engineering student, had planned to spend his summer in Columbia, South Carolina, where he landed an internship in Trane Technologies commercial HVAC facility. But when COVID-19 disrupted plans for just about everyone, our team pivoted and transformed our in-person internship program into a virtual one.
As we work to provide these critical services during the coronavirus pandemic, the health and safety of our people, customers and partners is our top priority. We are following all guidelines from the World Health Organization, Center for Disease Control and local health and government officials.
Julie Eagle has always been passionate about the environment. As she pursed her education in engineering she discovered an interest in built environments and architecture. And then worlds collided when she took a course on sustainability in buildings - she was hooked.
At Trane Technologies our commitment to the development of the next generation of talent remains steadfast. We are thrilled to open our virtual doors to over 150 interns and co-op students for the summer of 2020. Maintaining our commitment has taken some new levels of creativity and ingenuity to ensure the continued success of our early career programs virtually.
