We’re a little late to the bandwagon, but work made by real humans takes time. Introducing: the UW Credit Union Member Action Figure! Accessories include: a UWCU debit card (of course), a smartphone to ensure access to account information anytime and a tote bag to carry everything needed for whatever adventures the day brings. This illustration was made by one of our fantastic graphic designers and speaks to something central to the UWCU experience: a personal touch. When you call us for support, you talk to a real person. When you go to a branch, you see a team of friendly faces you can get to know on a first-name basis. When you go to a local event, you may see us there too – because we believe in showing up for the communities where we live and work. So no AI here. Just real design by a real person, from the same credit union that brings you real financial solutions from a staff of experts. And proud of it.
Did you know? All UWCU employees receive 16 hours of paid time off each year to support a cause they care about through our Volunteer Time Off program. Way to step up, team! #NationalVolunteerWeek #NVW

Working with students and empowering them to take charge of their financial futures is a big part of our work here at UW Credit Union. Our relationship with the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater is the perfect example. Together, we’ve made it possible for students to learn money management essentials, establish a financial relationship through an on-campus branch and enrich the community by supporting university causes and events. We are honored this partnership was recognized with the 2024 Universities of Wisconsin Regents Business Partnership Award. Thank you to the Universities of Wisconsin for this distinction, and thank you to UW-Whitewater everything we have accomplished over the years. Go Warhawks!
As Presenting Partner of Milwaukee Brewers™ Baseball, we’re proud to join forces with one of Wisconsin’s best sports teams for a good cause. Every time the Brewers win, we donate $250 to Housing Resources, Inc., an organization that helps people in the Milwaukee area buy their own home and become financially empowered. So far, we have raised more than $10,000! And the best part? That figure will grow as the season continues. Let's keep cheering for more wins and more donations!
This week, UW Credit Union co-hosted a two-day financial education summit in collaboration with The Forward Learning Institute of Financial and Economic Literacy (FLIFEL) – a partnership between UWCU, Edgewood College, the Wisconsin Department of Financial Institutions and the CBM Credit Education Foundation. About 75 Wisconsin educators and community partners gathered for the event, which included training from the Department of Public Instruction and connected educators to free state resources to support them and their students. Pictured: Event participants gathered for a celebration at the Governor’s Residence. Included in the photo are Wisconsin First Lady Kathy Evers; DFI Secretary Cheryll Olsen Collins; and FLIFEL Director Erin Bykowski (UWCU’s financial education and inclusion manager).
This morning, members of our SAGA (Sexuality and Gender Alliance) Employee Resource Group, alongside allies, came together to celebrate the start of hashtag#PrideMonth. Together, we celebrate the LGBTQ+ community, the power of inclusivity and living life authentically. Happy Pride! 🏳🌈
