Last month, Team UHS rolled up their sleeves for the 2nd annual UHS Day of Action. From planting flowers and picking weeds to painting curbs and cleaning up parking lots, employees came together across the system to beautify our campuses and enhance the patient and visitor experience. Teams got an early start to beat the heat, making for a productive and impactful morning dedicated to taking pride in the spaces where care happens every day. We’re proud of the teamwork and dedication shown across UHS and grateful to all who pitched in to make our campuses shine.

During #NationalHospitalWeek, we celebrated the contributions of Team UHS with Healthcare Week festivities. As we reflect on this special week, we recognize the Compassion, Trust, Respect, Teamwork, and Innovation that define our teams and drive an exceptional patient experience each day. This celebration includes every individual across the UHS System whose dedication and commitment make outstanding care possible. UHS proudly celebrates healthcare workers during National Hospital Week
Team UHS celebrated National Wear Red Day with a ribbon-cutting ceremony in the lobby of UHS Vestal Salanger Outpatient Center, in collaboration with the regional chapter of the American Heart Association. Observed on the first Friday of each February, "Wear Red Day" raises awareness of heart disease in women and encourages proactive steps toward better heart health. The event also highlighted the life-saving importance of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) during cardiac emergencies. Thank you to all team and community members who showed up in their red apparel and demonstrated what it means to Go Red for Women.

We’re proud to share that UHS has been named a 2025 CandE Award Winner by the Survale Candidate Experience Benchmark and Awards Program! United Health Services is proud to join the Respect and Heal Initiative, a campaign bringing together healthcare leaders from across New York state to ensure all healthcare and clinical settings are rooted in mutual respect and healing. This partnership reflects our strong commitment to safeguarding frontline healthcare workers and the patients they serve. Together with healthcare systems, law enforcement, and policy experts, UHS is working to prevent harassment and violence in care settings. United Health Services has already implemented enhanced safety measures, including weapons screening, visitor check-ins, and Peer-to-Peer staff debriefings, reinforcing our commitment to safe and compassionate care. With our community partners and the Respect and Heal Initiative. UHS remains dedicated to creating safer, more respectful spaces for all who give and receive care. To launch the joining of this initiative, United Health Services hosted a press conference featuring Broome Country District Attorney, F.
