This state-of-art, innovative treatment allows for a minimally invasive option that may provide immediate relief from tremor symptoms. UHS is now offering in-person and virtual appointments for essential tremor screenings and to discuss potential treatment choices.

Congratulations to Margaret Heath, BSN, RN, for being our latest DAISY Award winner at UHS! The DAISY (Diseases Attacking the Immune SYstem) Award is an international recognition program started by the DAISY Foundation that honors and celebrates the skillful, compassionate care nurses provide every day. The Krembs 5 nurse was nominated by a patient she cared for. In the nomination letter, the patient spoke about how she had received electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) for many years, but in those years had never met a more kind, compassionate and caring person as Margaret. The patient went on to talk about how Margaret helped her through the darkest times and was always pleasant. The patient also spoke about how Margaret is a great listener and always took the time to listen no matter how busy she was. Thank you Margaret for truly displaying what a tireless, devoted and passionate nurse can do, and the impact they can have on their patients!
