The Simulation Center at Valleywise Health features realistic acute care, ICU, labor and delivery, and operating room suite simulation. Additionally, we have a high-fidelity manikin that enables advanced training in stroke response, laparoscopic skills and other critical procedures. We are proud to provide innovative, experiential training and bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical skills, advancing care quality and equity. Daisy Mountain Firefighters Charities hosted their annual holiday toy drive at Valleywise Health. Valleywise Health and Daisy Mountain team members unloaded and delivered a wonderful collection of toys for the children in our Pediatric Unit - spreading joy and brightening the season for children and their families. The event featured inspiring remarks from Steve Purves, FACHE, Valleywise Health President and CEO, Dr. Jodi Carter, Chair of Pediatrics and Pediatric Emergency Medicine, and Jordan Alexander from Daisy Mountain. Through a vibrant potluck featuring dishes from the Middle East, Southeast Asia, Sub-Saharan Africa, and Eastern Europe, we came together to honor each other and our traditions. We are grateful for our refugee employees, whose resilience, diverse perspectives, and unique experiences enhance our mission to provide exceptional healthcare to all.
