"What I loved most about being a Butcher was working with my hands, learning new ways to better my craft and meeting the Team Members in the department. There’s a lot to learn from everyone because there isn't a 'right way' to cut and present your case — everyone has their flair, and it’s cool to see. The Butcher Apprentice Program is challenging, but I had a great experience while doing it. Big shout-outs to Tyrell, Chip, Kiram, and Scott Cenna from the PLM Store for helping me along the way. They were a big asset in developing my skills as a Butcher. Without them, I wouldn’t be in the position I am today."

"I am really grateful I got to go through the motherhood journey with her. Jennifer is such a reliable and fun person to have on the team. I know she's already been here, but as a new mom and professional, I was terrified of how it would affect my work-life balance or the quality of work I put out. "I did not get the first role I applied for at Whole Foods Market. I walked into our Hawaii Queens location to become a Grocery Team Member but was not selected. A few weeks later, I returned to the same location to find an ongoing job fair (door closed, window opened 🎉). I applied and was offered a Floater Position on the spot. On my first day in the store, I remember calling my mom, telling her 'I think I’ve found where I am meant to be'. While working as a Floater, I got to work in all our store departments: I learned about our quality standards within the Meat and Seafood departments, floated around Whole Body, finding so many items I never knew existed and developed a new appreciation for how our kitchens operate and produce food working in our Prepared Foods. As I honed my grocery experience, I discovered a culture that aligns with many of my values. The various programs we offer to help our Team Members and our local communities warm my heart. Ultimately, I fell in love with Produce and worked there as a Team Member and then Supervisor for a little over a year and a half. Each year, I fall more in love with Whole Foods. I have learned so much from some of the most talented people I know, the 'why' behind our company values and how to add more good into the world. A new store is coming to St. Petersburg, FL, and I am incredibly fortunate to be opening my third store with Whole Foods. I am not only excited to open the store but to open it alongside a great group of folks who will be taking on this new challenge with me.
