Description The Texas Roadhouse story began in February 1993, when Kent Taylor opened the first location in Clarksville, Indiana, with the goal of owning a family-friendly steak restaurant, where people of all ages could come and have a great meal for a great price.
Kent’s goal was to serve food he was proud of. At Texas Roadhouse, you can find Hand-Cut Steaks, Fall-Off-The-Bone Ribs, Fresh-Baked Bread, and our Made-From-Scratch items, such as our croutons, bacon bits, and salad dressings. Pair our Legendary Food with an Ice Cold Beer or one of our Legendary Margaritas, and you will get the full Texas Roadhouse experience.
Our food is not the only Legendary thing at Texas Roadhouse – Our fun is, too! From our line dancers to our jukebox, and our friendly servers, the fun is non-stop.
Our team has an incredible sense of pride in everything we do, and our passion ensures you have a legendary experience with every visit. The dedication we have for our guests extends far beyond the four walls of our restaurants, with our team members getting involved in their local communities in many ways to give back to be the hometown favorite. We often say we are a people first company, that just happens to serve steaks.

Victra is the largest Verizon Authorized Retailer in the U.S., proudly serving millions of customers through more than 1,800 locations nationwide. Founded in 1996, we combine the strength and innovation of a national brand with the personalized service of local stores. Our teams are trusted wireless experts who take the time to understand each guest’s needs, helping them stay connected to what matters most. Backed by people-driven leadership and a strong foundation of integrity, Victra is a place where careers grow alongside the company.
It all began in 1985 in a reclaimed old pizza restaurant on Clairmont Avenue in Birmingham, AL. The formula was simple. Celebrate the heritage of revered bar-b-q masters, cut no corners on the menu, and serve the whole community like family. That philosophy allowed us to create something special. An authentic bar-b-q restaurant with chefs and pitmasters. A nod to our past recipes, with eyes towards the future. Sit down dining on one hand, and a drive-through on the other. 12 hours slow-smoked pork and beef, but served real fast.
A celebration of Alabama, but a reverence for the bar-b-q tradition across the South. It’s the kind of place that only happens when you don’t follow the crowd, but instead follow your heart, trust your gut, and simply do things the hard way.
Today, Jim ‘N Nick’s has become an icon of the barb-q community. One bite and you’ll understand why,
there’s only one Jim ‘N Nick’s.
