They basic health benefits, but the cost is somewhat high. They offer a 401k with matching but you have to wait a year before joining. They do offer a discounted stock purchase plan and enrollment is twice a year. This is a good benefit.
It would be nice to offer the option for PTO and holiday pay if the contractor so chose to do.

The lack of retirement/401k plan offerings and vacation time is unacceptable. The health insurance package offered is not good in the first three months, and after that period, the more robust plan they offer is insanely expensive! Keep that in mind while negotiating your hourly rate. The do offer other insurance options such as dental, vision, short term and long term disability, accident, and life insurance.

Health care plan is woefully inadequate. The average daily cost for a hospital stay in NC is $1667. The plan pays up to $900 per day and only for two days to a max of $1800. The fixed indemnity plan requires all services to be paid for up front and then submitted for reimbursement. No health savings account, no flexible spending accounts and eligibility for the 401(k) plan is 1 year.
