They didn't offer it to part-time employees and specifically cut hours so that they didn't have to offer it.

The insurance is a joke, it's a health savings plan. I don't even recall seeing options for 401k, if they do have them, they keep them well hidden. There are yearly performance based bonuses for managers, but they aren't even that big. The best benefit is getting free merch from companies, honestly.

Most benefits were really solid at this company, although two items need to be mentioned. 1) This company used to give employee stock options; they no longer do so. 2) If you are salary, you will earn vacation time but never have the opportunity to utilize it. Factual Example: I was a salaried employee for just under two decades with this company, and was only able to take one single week of vacation (to get married); and they do not let you take pay-in-lieu-of vacation time. (Do not expect your direct supervisor to thank you for working straight through unceasingly for years upon end, in case you are thinking this gets you anything in your career with them.) You will be paid out your unused vacation time when you separate employment, this company does the right thing in that regard so you don't lose out in the end. Multiple health plans to choose from, multiple vision, multiple dental, plus extra's offered at additional costs; and 401(k) offered (sorry, no Roth 401(k), and I suggested it for years while I worked there, along with constant suggestions to offer pay-in-lieu-of vacation time. In 401(k) they match 100% for the first 3%, then 50% of the next 2%. They offer 2 personal days per year, and I think it was 6 sick days per year; although I never took a single sick day and never called-out in the almost two decades I worked there. (Again, do not expect to be thanked or gain anything by a level of extreme dedication similar to what I displayed while I was employed there.) Bear in mind I do not know if or when it would be possible to use any of the offered paid time off as a salaried employee (see vacation time comments above).
But overall, in terms of what they offered when I was employed there was a solid benefits package; and they will give you your vacation time you couldn't use while working there once you separate employment (you will not get any unused personal or sick time). Since this review is solely for what this company offers in terms of benefits and not about working for the company, I will give it 4 stars. They would have received 5 had they not done away with employee stock options, even taking into account their stagnating price per share the past 7+ years. Please keep in mind this review was done in 2015, so any changes to their benefits plans since I decided to change career's cannot be taken into account here. Thank you, and good luck to all in their job/career searches!

I'm not too sure. I worked here in college and had my own benefits through parents and family.

You are encouraged to take your earned vacation. The health benefits have gotten progressively less attractive over the past few years just like with most other employers.

They offer health insurance, as well as a plethora of other benefits. I felt like the individual on the phone who helped you set it all up was always rushing, and did not take the time to properly explain everything.

I didn't take advantage of their health care plans but I know as of July 1st I believe they implanted a paid sick day thing depending on how many hours you worked which even applied if your a ga (game advisor) which is kind basically regular part time employees.
