Bonuses are paid out weekly for service commission and retail commission. The bonuses are not contingent on each other and don't affect your base wage.

Part of the criteria for meeting bonus requirements for the month is repeat customers returning to the store. The goal is just to try to get customers to return to the store itself and not to request you specifically. There is no way to set appointments or book with a specific stylist aside for calling to get a stylist's schedule and walk in to wait for them. This results in the phone ringing all the time and customer getting angry when a schedule change occurs and they were told their requested stylist would be there. The numbers were not too difficult to meet for the bonus but the great clips system introduces a bit of stress by making it difficult to request a stylist.

Productivity bonus is based on how much money in service sales you bring in per hour so you can make more money per hour every day if you hit above the productivity threshold amount. You can earn product commission if you hit a certain threshold and can make more commission if you sell more product - this is calculated weekly.

If you can do the hair cuts super fast. It is a speed bonus that they will give you. They turned the hair industry into fast food hair.

You only bonus if you can do 4 full services an hour. This goes by a dollar per hour “productivity”. Your productivity will be below bonus is you do updos, blow outs or perms, and the same few (usually new) people are made to do them ALL THE TIME, so that the manager and favorite me can bonus.
