401K Plan

Good matching and many options.

In the pass I think the 401K plan was great because the employee received the match every pay period, but now IBM only match 401K in November so if you are laid off or leave the company before November then you don't get the 401K match.

matches 6%, but only paid out at end of year. If you leave the company before December 15th you will forfeit the 6% matching by IBM

matching up to 6% at the end of the year (so must still be employed at the end of the year to get the match)

There is no Matching from IBM till you rol past Dec 15, then they contribute thier share, so you are stuck with a major loss if you leave before then.

The match is paid out only at the end of the year, so you miss out on all gains made throughout the year.

Pay the first two percent and the match dollar for dollar to six percent
