The employee discount is 10% off all Kroger brand products. We also have extremely flexible hours as most people working there are students or people who needed a second job.

Pretty typical benefits available after you've been employed for a year. Health insurance is very cheap, but won't cover your spouse!

It is a Union job with good benefits, especially considering the qualifications and low difficulty of the work.

Kroger forces every employee to participate in a health screening. You must also sign a release allowing them access to your medical records and dr. Not only is this against the law ( Hippa) but it is also very invasive. I was relieved when I resigned because they offer less and less every year with more and more stringent health screening requirements.

Health insurance benefits are available ONLY to full-time employees and their children (NO SPOUSES) or to employees working in the store and only after a year of employment. The benefits are good, but the administration, which is done by the union, is a total JOKE. They almost NEVER get things correct, it takes 30 days for any changes to take effect, and even error corrections take 30 days. Getting straight answers out of the union office about the insurance benefits is like pulling teeth. Store employees who should be able to explain the health benefits (the store admins) have no clue and don't seem to care to figure things out to explain them either. IF you can ever find someone who knows what's going on HOLD ON to that person's name and phone number!!!

The best thing about the benefits at Kroger is that no matter if you are part time or full time everyone gets benefits. I respect and appreciated that.

Amazing insurance coverage (dropped a $210 prescription to $15 with a doctor coupon). Greater gas savings if you get your name mentioned in the OSAT Comments a few times a month). I usually had to pay $45 for a full tank. With about 4 highly satisfied comments I had a full tank for just about $18.....2 times in one month!
