Health insurance is acceptable for corporate industry but does not compare if you are hired under union contract

Insurance had a 220 premium on non-union for best insurance for a family and went down to 200 when ACA kicked in. Deductible went up to 3,000, but a $2,000 card was provides. This year, deductible went back up, but copay went down to 20% from 30%. All in all good insurance, would be better with lower premiums.

The deductibles have shot up, and the premium plan has disappeared to save the company money. If you want to not worry about unexpected medical costs, you'll have to contribute at least $500/yr of pay minimum if you're on the new "premium" plan.
