MIT employees receive up to 15 vacation days for the first year of eligible service; 20 days if you have more than one year of eligible service. They offer all the major holidays and give you 3 weeks to start and then get 4 weeks, plus closed from Christmas thru New Years. Very accommodating of requests (my boss let me take off days I hadn't yet earned, although not all may do that).
