Job Training

This is the fast food/ restraunt industry people. There is no room for a learning curve. You will be expected at any workplace, to perform well. When you are new, you are a temporary liability for the company, because you will make more mistakes. With that said, you don't want to be a liability for too long. My Sonic did a good job at training me, but I'm a fast learner and HATE being the ''newbie'' I quickly got the hang of taking orders and car hopping. Training includes learning to take orders no matter what your position is. ALL CARHOPS MUST know how to take orders before they can carhop. You will have a person which you basically shadow for the first day , so you can have an idea of what to do. But after that, it's all you. Like, I said, no learning curve. If you have to, go home and study the sonic menu. After that, you learn to carhop which is basically delivering people's food with a smile and collecting there cash, and change.

For Assistant Management, trained on all aspects of the store and ServeSafe Training.

They toss you in the waters. If you make it, you make it.

Not much training: there is a ~4 hour orientation with some training, they give you the basics on the job, and you basically wing it from there.

Training is not good at my workplace, I spent a total of 2 day training on the fry station, and I had to learn the Coney station for myself. The burger station was the worst because I didn't even have a full day of training and the woman who was supposed to be training me was more focused on getting closing faster then helping me with the burger orders. I took it upon myself to look at the list of burgers and what goes in them. Note this is my first job.

Frequently just get put into a position and expected to work

The manager was very easy to talk too and to understand also. You get about a month of training. Then you are on your own.

It's not thorough at all and will leave most confused until they figure things out for themselves.
