Nothing was special at all

The worst thing about my training at Subway is that I was not trained and when I did something wrong I got yelled at instead of shown the proper way. When I was shown how to do things, I was told not to do it that way when the owner or health inspector were around.

Manager showed little training, the other employees did most of it.

When you first start off, you must memorize all the recipes, if not, you are asked to leave.

You now have to do a program called Subway University which is time consuming seeing you're just making sandwiches.

I started out as a line worker, and in a years time I was trained as a shift manager and offered an opportunity for store management.

Some thing it wasn't fun, but the University of Subway training online was the best tool for training. It was easy to understand and was a great reference tool.

The training I received was good, but now I feel like the manager does a poor job of the consistency with training new employees

There is a preliminary online training you must complete, so you are not completely in the dark when you begin. After that, the owner and managers will usually work one on one with you for several shifts to allow you to get the hang of everything, letting you work with others once you show you understand how to perform your tasks.
