Job Training

Training is too short and you expect to know so much in a little bit of time.

They do give extra help for dtesting skills

its alot of information but you will have to figure out what methods work better for you because everyone does the job different

They try to be pretty thorough during the training program. It's a lot of information in a Short span though, so difficult to remember everything when you're actually working. They don't really focus on helping you get real world practice, which is crucial to this job. It's much harder than anyone thinks, and they just focus on the paperwork side of things.

Very thorough job training. More rules than can be kept reasonably especially because of company culture.

Best part was that the training was paid training. Worst part was that the postmaster that I was working under believed that most of the training did not apply to her office location so it always felt like wasted time.

If you get a good OJT - it is a good process. If not, the supervisors don't care to help out much.

I think they really try to make you feel right about driving the usps truck and feel comfortable if you have any questions they answer it and it great as before u training i recommend that you put it on paper and ask when you over there

Its very professional and youre almost always trained properly, I jave never seen them take shortcuts when it comes to training!
