Shockingly unprofessional and disrespectful interview process. First, there was a phone call during which HR seemed thrilled to get me to the next step - a 2.5 hour "test" that I spent a few hours preparing for. The "test" is akin to preliminary unpaid training - learning the product in-depth and answering questions pertaining to it, followed by a video of yourself. The test was easy, but unacceptably time-consuming. No other employers do this from my experience.
All in all, I put nearly 5 hours of my time into the process to hear nothing back from them for a few days. I emailed the HR contact to ask when I can expect to hear back. She did not respond and had an automated rejection email sent out to me, with no feedback whatsoever. I am somewhat relieved I did not land the role, as this behavior reflects very poorly on their corporate culture. Evidently, they have no respect for applicants.
To put one through a test that takes upward of 4 hours to study and undergo, then not take 2 minutes of your time to give them any feedback as to why they were rejected (no test results, literally nothing) is utter abuse of applicants. In addition, the fact that their "test" is essentially unpaid training should be a violation of labor laws in my opinion. I can't imagine how miserable of a working environment it is if you get accepted. On top of this, mind you I am highly overqualified for the position. They mentioned they have students in this role. Shame on them. I never write reviews about interview processes but I had to speak up on this one, as did many others who experienced the same thing. If they had the basic decency to provide feedback after all the time I invested, I wouldn't have ended up writing this.
