      Manager Interview

      Oct 15, 2015
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Frontline Education in Sep 2015

      Interview

Phone Screen, followed by a programming challenge question. Easy questions about history, capabilities etc. Nice enough people. Programming challenge was pretty easy but this is one of those scenarios where if you aren't thinking how their code reviewer is thinking even if you deliver a working solution it means nothing.

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Frontline Education (Wayne, PA) in Sep 2013

      Interview

A headhunter reached out to me and said this was for a faith-based organization. I was skeptical about my fit, and asked him what if my faith doesn't match theirs? I was persuaded by his answer that they hire diverse folks. My first interview was with the Director, at a breakfast meeting who prayed before he started eating. I was uncomfortable but respectful. The interview went surprisingly well and he seemed like a very competent, professional individual. And when I began to think that this could work, I met the others... The senior team including the co-founders all talked about God and the bible. Their policies are pray before a meeting, ask for God's guidance. I can respect that but would not have been the right fit for me. They also explained their policies which include not proving temptation at work aka a male and female co-worker cannot go out to lunch unless accompanied by a third person! So if you are a super conservative, gun-loving, bible - spouting professional this place is for you. Otherwise don't bother.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with our team. We are very disappointed that you left with such a polarizing view of Frontline. We do not claim to be a faith-based organization. In fact, what’s most important to us is maintaining an environment of respect, kindness and inclusiveness toward one another. Our team is made up of individuals from all walks of life and varying ideals and belief systems. We believe it is our diversity and differences that make us unique and bring character to our organization. We sincerely appreciate you sharing your experience and will evaluate how we can convey our culture more effectively in the future.
