Initially, the hiring process was good but it turned left midway through. I think their process is outdated considering the recruiter and hiring manager have two different understandings of it, I feel the company and hiring team need to get on one accord. However, expect 3-5 interviews and homework or a presentation based on what was presented to me.
Halfway through the process, the hiring manager told me, without fully saying it, that they were hiring internally essentially. However, I was moved forward in the process. One of my interviews, while it was fine, one of the interviewers were driving. After 3 rounds of interviews, I was completed ghosted, and then got a generic template saying another candidate was selected.
The company is currently going through a shift and making MGH an Ed-Tech company. So a large amount of hiring is due to that. I also think the salary is really good as you have the potential to be a 6-figure earner from base + OTE.
Overall, I did not have a bad experience, the company and staff all are very nice and helpful. However, the later end of my interview process has stained my opinion about the company and department. I did not appreciate being ghosted after having several interviews. Especially also after being told they were going to choose someone internally (which I appreciate the honesty). I feel like they shouldn’t have even opened this position up to the public/moved me forward.
