Application is done via the RBS web site, fill in details and then just wait it out. In my situation someone from the Change Team emailed me and invited me to interview at a set time and date in the Birmingham Brindley Place offices. There IS a 15 minute presentation requirement (on quality), this was not communicated before the interview when it should have been. When I said this to the interviewers they looked at me like I wasn't telling the truth but invited me to give a presentation anyway. Fairly long competency based interviewing process with one of the two interviewers asking a question as the other writes. Questions were pretty standard project manager ones where you had to give a scenario where you had done something and what the outcome was. Brushing up on the STAR technique is a good idea if you go for an interview here. The one thing that did surprise me was that this is a purely business change management role, but it was advertised as an IT change manager role. I was immediately unsuitable for the role and I think the interviewers knew this meaning a lack of quality checking by whoever read my CV and application. Office looked very lively, they definitely look after people and give them a very nice working environment. The interviewers themselves were okay, one was head of risk and he was very approachable, the other I believe was head of change and he was in my opinion quite stuck up and acted like you should be thankful he is even sat in the room with you. Overall it was a fairly tough interview, nothing about the culture or environment would have put me off accepting an offer if it had come along, their attention to detail during the selection process was a concern though.
