I'm only writing this review of the interview process because I wanted to give feedback to the team. I had an initial call with one of Quince's principal recruiters and discussed an open position for a senior data analyst role. This role lined up pretty well with my background and experience in the eCommerce space. All went well and smooth and I had my following interview scheduled with the hiring manager, who is the director of analytics for Quince. I was interested in having the conversation and learning more. This interview was scheduled a week in advance, and at no point was I contacted otherwise that things had changed in the process. Come the day of my interview I'm getting things setup for the call. My interview was canceled with little notice shortly before the scheduled time. I received no follow up from the team, or a reason for the cancellation, or any communication to clarify. I would've been totally fine if someone even just said, "hey the role was filled, so we decided not to move forward" or a simple "hey we had to push this back and reschedle". I had to shuffle my own work meetings today to take this call only for it to be cancelled with no contact. The way this was handled was unprofessional, shows a lack of respect, shows a lack of transparency in this company's culture, and a disorganized team. I have not experienced being treated this way from any interviewing process in my career prior to this. To the TA team at Quince, keep your line of communication open with your candidates, I did not appreciate my time being wasted. Thank you. I hope your future interviews go smoother and that your team takes an accountability and growth standpoint to fix Talent Acquisition processes.
