I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Quince in Aug 2024
Interview
There were 3 rounds
1. Bar Raiser round - HTML, css, js react js fundamentals + web optimisation techniques
2. Machine Coding round - Create a Search bar with some optimisation
3. Manager round - fitment + Tech
I recently completed the interview process, clearing the first two rounds successfully and moving on to the third round, which included the Manager round. During this round, I was presented with a DSA question that I solved promptly, followed by several fitment questions and inquiries about impactful projects I’ve completed at my current company. I believe I responded to these questions effectively, and the manager appeared to be convinced by my answers. While there were some cross-questions, I felt they were addressed positively.
However, I received feedback stating that while my problem-solving skills were strong, and I solved the DSA question quickly, there was a concern about my explanation of the impactful project. Specifically, the feedback mentioned that I "couldn’t answer properly" and "took more time" in completing the project. This feedback was unexpected, as I believed I had communicated the complexity and impact of the project clearly.
I also find it challenging to understand how the manager could accurately gauge the complexity of a project from my previous company within the constraints of the interview. Unfortunately, based on this feedback, I was not selected to move forward.
I would like to mention that the manager conducting the interview was not the one originally assigned to the hiring process, as the actual hiring manager was on leave. I respectfully requested an opportunity to interview with the actual hiring manager to, but since then they are ghosting
