UWorld Software Developer interview questions

Step 1) Online hacker rank test: probably one easy and one hard from leetcode. Step 2) On-site HR interview: simple behavioral questions. Step 3) On-site Technical interview: Some medium level questions for about 2 hrs. 1 side question that I kept getting throughout the process: "Who referred you here?". Something was off about this... Felt like everyone who gets an interview is supposed to have a referral. The interview room was just a small section covered with glass which was pretty suffocating. The work place looked pretty cramped and noisy. Step 4) The HR sent an email saying the team wanted to move forward to background checks and references from my former or current managers and colleagues. Not easy to get people to do that. I don't care that I got rejected. But going through the hassle of giving references from your managers when they're still looking for a candidate who knows someone in the company was frustrating. And I've never heard of a company doing background checks on people who they have no clue they're even close to hiring. Very unprofessional.

1. Coding assessment link sent to me with 2 coding questions 2. Video call with coding - 2 questions and theoretical questions related to your strong coding language 3. Background and reference check 4. Onsite interview: competency based, white-board coding - 3 questions 5. Followed by lunch
