I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Waitrose (Liverpool, England) in Jun 2014
Interview
A few days after applying online, which was very quick and easy, I was invited to a group interview.
Upon arrival, I was lead by the interviewer to the interview room at the back of the store, where I was interviewed one to one. This was very friendly and low key. It was explained to me that there would be the group interview afterwards with three of us having been invited. After the one to one interview, another applicant joined me and the third did not show up.
As a pair, we were given a secret shopper report about a store, and then given 20 minutes to talk and write up an action plan with what needed improving, how and why. This was again pretty laidback and easy. We didn't need to present this but they were obviously monitoring how we worked in a temam.
