Service Desk Manager Interview Questions
"When hiring a service desk manager, employers will look for candidates with customer service experience, strong interpersonal skills, and managerial know-how. Service desk managers must be able to relate to their employees who deal with negativity on a daily basis, solve any and all consumer complaints no matter how difficult, and drive their departments to meet company goals and standards. In an interview you may be asked about your experience with managing people, told to explain how you would resolve various customer complaints, or quizzed on your knowledge of popular IT management software."

What's one accomplishment that you're most proud of?
After multiple questions around basic service desk questions e.g., What are the positives and negatives of ITIL? What are KPI's etc. I could tell when I first joined the video the facial expressions of the Manager already said to me he was no interested and then asked me if I spoke Chinese. I said no, was this mandatory? He replied in a snippet voice ..well yes, this is a Chinese company. I said well your company reached out to me and per the email, your HR and management reviewed my profile and thought I was a fit. If having to know Chinese was mandatory, why waste put time then? It's pretty sad to see that you cannot get into leadership unless you speak Chinese I guess? Pretty sad for those that want to progress but can't if they don't know Chinese...at least per this Manager.
