Pros

You can work from home or in office now. The schedules are somewhat flexible and most managers are kind and understanding.

Cons

I have never felt more dismissed when my concerns arise than I have through 1800Contacts. I wish I could rave about them like I once did, but that is simply not the case. Recently they have rolled out a change from 2 to 3 chats at the same time without consulting agents who actually do the work. Hearing “it used to be this way” from managers was nothing but salt in the wound. When the conversation about the additional stress, higher wages, or the fact we’re not being heard is brought up, the agents are to blame. Essentially, they’re paying less people (for the same wage) to do 1.5x the work with no additional training or support. They blame us for avoiding change, but this is incredibly wrong. None of us wanted this. I don’t know one single person I’ve talked to that is excited or hasn’t cried on the clock due to their negligence. It saddens me to make this review, but I was thriving prior to the unexpected changes and the ignorance cannot go without criticism. These managers don’t even take chats and will not hesitate to write you up.

Pros

I loved working here for a time. However when managers changed, our team received a manager who was NOT fair

Cons

Nepotism, friendships chosen over hard work, QA's goal is to take away your bonus. HR is extremely unfair. I was let go and the circumstances were extremely unfair. Best thing to ever happen to me. I hated the politics of kissing managers butt.

Pros

This company really does try very hard in making their employees happy which is amazing. They do a lot of gift card giveaways, have an onsite gym and grille, tuition reimbursement and discounts on not only contacts, but for movie tickets and other discounted services which is very cool. They are also pretty flexible with scheduling, especially if you are a college student. If you enjoy call centers, you will really like this job as it's probably the best type of call center you could find, period.

Cons

I worked here for a total of six months while I went to college full-time. Initially I started working here because of the tuition reimbursement to help me pay for school, but wasn't able to make it to the year and a half mark to utilize that perk. This position has specific selling goals you have to meet(among others) called revenues per call (RPC) which doesn't fluctuate whether you work full time, or part time which is completely unfair. If you get a prime set of hours during the day, you will be completely fine as you don't get any prank calls. Where as if you work in the evenings, there are times where you will receive more prank calls than actual phone calls of people wanting to order, etc. Every time someone calls in, it affects your RPC, being either good (a sale) or bad (service call, or prank call). Working in the evenings you also can't call doctors offices for people either to get their prescriptions on file, so you have to hope that you will be getting a faxed prescription back and that someone doesn't follow up with the customer to make the sale once it is in their account. Ultimately, if you enjoy sitting in a cubicle for hours on end and talking through a headset, you will like this job. There is a reason they have training sessions going on so frequently because of the high turnover rate of the job.
