Pros

Not too much oversight, your schedule is fluid no day is the same, work with a diverse workforce learn a little about every aspect of retail such as sales, logistics, merchandising etc. Stable company with a long history, many stores, especially residential ones have very loyal customers and the stores can become a community gathering place.

Cons

Friction between franchisees and corporate, field consultant is in the middle. Many stores are dirty and poorly operated. If you don’t bonus the pay is not great. A lot of stove piping and merchandising does not learn from past mistakes and often has unreasonable amount of expectations from operations. Company like many retailers has a very constrained budget right now.

Pros

- Good pay in OK - meet some really awesome customers - in OK they try to keep you close to your home when they assign you a store - insurance for those that need -profit sharing (after a year) -good job for younger people or people who like to stand all day, very physical

Cons

- management will railroad you if you do something wrong, meaning if you screw up, the consequences are going to be really bad - coworkers can be hard to deal with sometimes/call-ins - not flexible - management can micro manage and some are unfriendly and hard to work with - lots of favoritism from management - no training program, during the hiring process you can be someone that has never worked in cashiering but the managers expect you to know what you are doing within less than a week - depending on the store, they expect you to be way too fast paced -lots of restrictive rules w this company - no sitting - no teamwork - if you are not good at one thing, instead of training you on that properly, management will keep you in a different area for months at a time w no explanation (i.e the register instead of stocking the cooler)

Pros

Free coffee and big gulp

Cons

Zero work life balance. Management is filled with yes man’s. If you have a life outside of work spouse, children etc you will definitely feel the pressure. You are on call 24!hours a day. You are actually earning less than minimum wage based upon the hours you actually work.
