Pros

401K, Health Insurance, Benefits, Bonus

Cons

The worst management at any company I have worked at. Extremely toxic, fake and pretend they care about you when they really don't at all. None of your talent or specialties you bring to the table are listened to and they go behind your back and undo or change what is agreed or discussed in a meeting. Senior team members are extremely insecure of their positions, extremity over paid as they know this is really the only gig they'll ever have. HR claim themselves as "the people team" when they don't really care about you. They put on a facade and turn a blind eye to the toxic and bad behaviors by senior management. Senior team members are legacy people and have no concept of modern practices or technologies and are not interested to learn. Even when the company is failing, they blame it on "oh, it's the tv industry" rather than taking notice of what competitors are doing in the landscape to be innovative in a forever changing industry. If you work in digital, forget about this place. it's 10 years behind and outdated systems that are obsolete. Don't waste your time unless you are looking for a place that will serve you as a retirement village of amateur work.

Hostile & Toxic Environment!

Pros

The medical benefits are decent but the premiums have increased significantly.

Cons

The company has been mismanaged for years hiring nothing but undeserving managers which breed hostility and toxicity. Bad decisions by management, especially within the technology department have caused employee morale to decline and employees to jump ship . The technology department is made up primarily of managed services, outsourced support and staff, and employees from India holding H1B visas. I have witnessed American employees forced to interview offshore people that would be taking their job. This one act of hostility towards employees is truly disgusting and unfortunately all to common for a company which prioritizes cheap labor over quality. The technology management team is made up a few people who are favored by senior management and get away with poor professional behavior. The management team does not possess professional development skills such as critical thinking and conflict management. Most times if a manager does not like you, they will their best to sabotage you and create a hostile environment which people cannot be successful in. For some reason this aggressive behavior is rewarded and protected instead of confronted and corrected. Most other negative reviews hit the nail on the head and clearly state what issues are too common within A+E and especially technology. This by far is the worst company I have ever worked for.

Pros

clean, modern feeling building with good shared spaces, weekly mezzanine happy hours, and a cafe. the benefits are super comprehensive.

Cons

employees at the bottom rungs of the company are overworked and under compensated, both in salary and learning opportunities, while the VP level grows more bloated every year with the type of people who look good on paper but lack even the most basic management (or cooperation) skills; bad managers are never challenged to change, and the good ones have to work around the bad ones at every turn. every department seems to be working toward a different goal so collaboration is tough, and top-down communication is nonexistent. there is very little acknowledgement of success or proper accountability for failure. the paranoid politicking amid higher-ups is flatly ridiculous and their bad-faith negativity trickles down to everyone in the company - except maybe the midtown office security staff, who are lovely.
