The first A is for American, but the company is now all for outsourcing jobs overseas

Pros

Decent benefits package, PTO is good. Most people are nice and enjoyable to work with. 100+ year old established company.

Cons

Salary is a little lower than industry average. New CTO, Ramon Millan, outsourced IT jobs at his last few jobs at Carnival Cruiseline, Pfizer, and Pepsi Co. Made sure to bring his cronies from past jobs that support outsourcing. He began outsourcing software development within a year of his starting at AAA. Not shortly after, most people who didn't support his views either left or were let go, with a constant trickle of people putting in their notices since then. Ironic that it's the 'American' Automobile Association and core goals are commitment to Country, Community and Employees..

A lot of restructuring since 2008. Executive changes, layoffs, etc. Employees moving around to keep their jobs

Outside position with ability to have flexible schedule. Good base pay with opportunity for commission.

Cons

Out of the loop. Even as a remote employee, it seemed as though there could have been more communication or more transparency.
