Pros

AAMC people care deeply about the company mission: improving the health of all. If you want to work in an environment where focus is on the greater good, look no further. Also, salary is competitive (for the region not just as a non-profit) and benefits are extraordinary with a 8% retirement fund match, parental leave for 4 weeks, exceptional health benefits and generous PTO and sick leave.

Cons

Executives in some divisions can be overly formal. In some work groups, staff can be slow to embrace organizational change.

Benefits - they do have a good benefits program.

Pros

Great people, great benefits, great location

Cons

Too many chiefs, too many meetings, takes too long to get things done. No consistency across departments.
