      - Important, multifaceted, challenging mission - Outstanding salary and benefits - Outstanding advancement and development opportunities - Very intelligent staff members

      - Does not practice what it preaches in culture - Does not adequately protect lower-level staff from immediate managerial mistreatment - Some internal people and processes very ingrained - Overly deferential to C suite - Work-life balance not genuinely honored

      Gaps in Full-Time Hiring Process

      Good work-life balance, caring colleagues, emphasis on giving back.

      Cons

      IT business units too isolated from each other. Contract-to-hire process has serious gaps. Needs to be more transparent. Internal resumes from present contractors seeking conversion to AAMC employment can get swallowed in online application system. Many applications not acknowledged. Hiring managers did not follow up with unsuccessful applicants, even those who had previously been contractors, to notify them of final hiring decisions. AAMC may be missing many qualified applicants as well as turning off those who did apply but never heard back after several rounds of interviews.
