Pros

Ability to use new technologies, lots of opportunities to prove yourself useful, create new and improve existing setup. Great people, reasonable managers, no artificial time-to-market pressure.

Cons

Some bureaucracy, long management chain, some legacy and lots of different technologies partially implemented creating a big entangled net of dependencies that is ripe for radical improvement. Good luck!

Pros

Working with various departments and member organizations, I got a better understanding of our mission on various levels. I also felt very appreciated by team members. AAMC had an excellent benefit package and onsite perks.

Cons

Too many managers who do nothing to support their staff. If you are not a director, your role is not very important, and neither are you, Way too clickish that starts at the top. Poor leadership and "no open door policies". All rules does not apply to everyone.
