Pros
Relatively good benefits for employees
Cons
The third-generation owners are uninspiring and lack the motivation to get involved, so they just let outsiders run their company into the ground. The COO hails from a previously failed organization that was sold off - he's a narcissistic tyrant. There is no diversity of thought or otherwise among the leadership team. If you don't agree or push back on their ideas, you'll be labeled an outcast and your days are numbered. The organization's core values are selectively upheld until they get in the way of convenience. For instance, all VPs and higher are white, so they preach that diversity is welcome but don't actually believe it. It’s a good old boys club and if someone brings a perspective that differs or threatens their point of view, it is not welcomed. Due to this management style, the work environment is very toxic. The organization's success is largely due to its association with a national brand. If it wasn't for that, this company would have failed a long time ago ... just like all their other business ventures.
