Pros

You learn a TON about the industry and about the company's processes. As a result, there are lots of opportunity to grow in the company from this position. The pay is really great and the cost of living in Ft Smith is on the cheaper side. You get to work with really hard working, intelligent, and caring people who enjoy what they do and are always available to answer questions.

Cons

Fort Smith, Arkansas is somewhat of a smaller ton if you are used to places with a bigger city like Dallas or Houston. But has great outdoor activities

The pay is very good for the industry and the bonuses are an added pro. I enjoy working for ABF freight

Cons

Advancement. The only negative is you have to be involved in sales if you want to be an operations manager or branch manager

Pros

I worked with a great group of people. The office staff and dock supervisors were great to be around. I miss that place.

Cons

The only con that I can come up with, is they closed down the Springfield IL terminal, which had 182 doors. There was times it was so busy, there were no place to put trailers when you split them.
