      Hedge Fund backed group, ruining local optical stores

      Pretty good pay, established client base

      Cons

      Very bad internal optical lab taking 3-4 weeks on jobs, extreme focus on customer service scores without the tools to achieve them, poor selection of frame brands, penny pinching on store supplies.

      Corporate only cares about money. There is absolutely no regard for patient care - it's all about selling. They turned a medical practice that provides excellent vision through contacts and glasses into a retail store with sales goals, that only cares about KPIs (retail sales tracking). No work-life balance. PMs are expected to be available 24/7, regardless of office hours, vacations, or sick days. The WORST optical lab (First Look) - takes 4-6 weeks on simple jobs, breaks/loses frames, and never takes responsibility for missteps. No support from district/regional manager. I expressed concerns frequently, and each time, they were shut down completely with a repeat of "just wait a little while longer! help is coming!" Spoiler alert: help didn't come until AFTER I put in my 2-weeks' notice.

      If you're an Optometrist ready to sell out your practice and your employees, big money awaits!!! If you're in Executive Mgmt! Big Money!!!

      If you were one of the Dr's original HR, Insurance, or Lab personnel start making plans to find other work because the axe is coming!
