Pros

Overall pretty good company to work for. Pay was competitive. growth was assisted and encouraged. effort was recognized and rewarded. little to no micromanagement.

Cons

You will never get off on time. 15-17 hour shifts were a regular occurrence. outdated equipment.

Variety of patient contacts Gain experience and confidence in skills in high volume ALS environment Opportunities for advancement 12 hour shifts Tuition reimbursement

Cons

A lot of turnover in personnel due to high call volume as it’s not a county service- many right out of EMT class are not prepared for the number of runs that their unit will perform in a single shift. Convalescent runs can be mundane and will wash out some employees.
