Avoid, They will lay you off

Pros

Pretty good salary, PTO, holidays, work from home, no micromanagement

Cons

They push a strong diversity culture, attending their diversity meetings every week/2 week’s isn’t mandatory but your lack of attendance is frowned upon, I just want to be able to do my job and not have an agenda pushed down my throat. They promised after 3 rounds of layoffs that would be it. When I questioned what would happen they reassured and said they had other contracts to put us on. They laid off myself and 400 more and by that time they had already filled all their contracts with employees that had either scored low on their reviews or newer employees, no loyalty to those of us that were longer tenured and high performers. There was little to no empathy from them, their HR team handling the layoffs showed no emotion and actually sent me an email responding to my layoff agreement with a smiley face, such professionalism. The HR staff surely didn't obtain their jobs from being proficient at them. Was constantly given the run around when asking about "re-deployment." I strongly advise anyone considering to reconsider. They opened a "pipeline" requisition but only for DEI candidates, highly unethical and illegal, that tells you everything about their agenda.

There are some good things about AMS - They have some outstanding clients -Very involved in Corporate Philanthropy -Competitive Vacation Packgage

Cons

-Very poor Senior Management not engaging and very difficult to move up unless you are very high up extremely political -Poor Bonus and Salary Structure -Morale is extremely low in certain markets

Pros

Paid time off is great for your first year (more then most companies offer) Co workers are great and fun to work with for the most part

Cons

Where do I start... •Management is absolutely terrible. They will throw you under the bus in a second to save their own butts. Managers are never doing any work and are on their personal phones most of the time. Most managers micro manage and will stand over your shoulder or ask you what you are doing every second of the day. •Training is HORRIBLE. They claim they prepare their workers for new systems/new clients but they do not. You get about 2 days of training until you are thrown into a completely new system. Things are constantly changing with new systems, which necessarily isn’t a bad thing, but lower level teams are never told. Communication is terrible and they leave you to figure it out on your own. This can cost you because you are dinged for every small error you make. •Most teams are understaffed and they won’t hire/bring a temp on to help which results in you and other workers drowning in work and putting in a bunch of overtime each week. They say it isn’t forced but they guilt trip you into working the overtime (without helping you) so they don’t look bad. Managers/other leaders will take credit for your work/idea if you don’t have it clearly defined/documented. You are doing the same work as someone who has the same amount of experience but is getting paid about 6 or 7 thousand more. They will do/say anything to justify why you don’t deserve a certain pay or raise. There are quarterly bonus’s that are paid based on performance but no salary increases based on performance which is horrible. •I referred multiple people that got to the final round interview and AMS never got back to them even when the person followed up 2 or 3 times. That just makes the company and myself look bad. I never referred anyone after that. This should tell you how terrible of a company AMS is Do yourself a huge favor and look elsewhere for jobs. The pay and stuff you have to go through isn’t worth your time!!
