Pros

Fun, hard working and sincere Colleagues

Cons

Account Management promoted and enabled managers whose toxic management style were to badger, harass and intimidate the entire recruiting and sourcing team on a daily basis (unnecessarily) and despite repeated complaints (from numerous staff members) declined to do anything.

I was disappointed to read your review of your experience here at AMS. It certainly does not reflect the leadership values that we strive to live by every day. Please feel comfortable reaching out to me in in confidence to further discuss your views. Tanya-Marie.Nichols@alexmann.com – Head of Human Resources, Americas

Pros

- Strong reputation abroad, particularly in the UK - Diverse portfolio of clients globally

Cons

- Inexperienced Leadership - over 2/3rds of the management team have either not worked for the client account in Asia or are in their first RPO role. This inexperience and lack of familiarity shows through as leadership fails to provide clear direction and vision for the account - Weak Culture - management shows lack of trust in their subordinates and colleagues. Certain managers are unwilling to listen to suggestions or viewpoints from colleagues with more specific expertise or more familiarity with the client. This is a major concern when these managers are making critical decisions without informed input; decisions which directly impact the client's vastly-scaled recruitment operations - Ineffective communication - there have been several occasions where communication lines have been fragmented or severed. We are a large RPO in APAC with over 150+ staff and a unique AMS business model (180 recruitment). Solid communication is the bedrock which allows the model to be successful at this scale. When communication is fragmented or nonexistent, it creates an environment permeated with mistrust, conflict, and low morale across the account

Hi There, Your comments regarding your experience with us are concerning and out of step with our values. We are proud of our workforce and our in-country representation which currently sits at between 71% and 100% depending on individual teams. Regarding issues of trust, communication, merit or leadership relationships, I would welcome an opportunity to discuss your specific experiences in more depth, particularly if you feel there are issues which have not been surfaced to the AMS leadership team. If you would like to speak further about your time with AMS please contact Rebecca Dakin (Rebecca.dakin@alexmann.com). Rebecca Dakin

Pros

Americas Region has a strong Senior Leadership team. There has been a good amount of restructuring, which should make the company stronger going forward. I think that they can be a significant player in the US RPO market in years to come.

Cons

Dedicated client delivery model limits job security for employees and flexibility for the organization. Redeployment model is one of the best in the industry, but too many opportunities are location bound.
