AVOID! Complete disaster, ZERO training, incompetent management, angry customers

Pros

Zero. TERRIBLE benefits. Awful, incompetent leadership. Very low morale.

Cons

Literally everything. This place is a clown car being driven by fools. Terrible benefits, too. I’d be shocked if this company existed a year from now. It’s that bad. Almost everyone seemed very unhappy to me. Very upset customers to deal with. Awful product that everyone complained about. Apathetic consultants. Unprofessional behavior. There’s one manager especially who’s in love with his own voice and never seems to listen to anyone, the type who says stuff like “I hear what you’re saying” (when he clearly doesn’t) and “perception is reality” (and other silly b-school clichés). HR department is completely incompetent to boot.

We are truly committed to creating a positive, encouraging, and motivating culture, so I'm disappointed to hear about your experience. I wanted to take a moment to address a few of your specific concerns. AMTdirect is continuously looking for ways to enhance our employee benefits, so any suggestions you have are more than welcome! We currently offer a very competitive benefits package including 3 weeks of PTO, 10 paid holidays, a 401K plan with match, 75% of cost of medical coverage, 100% dental coverage, and life and long-term disability. Also, as we have grown so quickly (over 300% last year alone), we recognize the need for more documentation and training around our processes and are currently working to improve. In fact, we just added another project manager to help with this very thing. Thanks again for your feedback.

Pros

AMTdirect offers a great culture to grow and learn more about the lease administration and accounting software industry. In my 6 months here, I've not only gained knowledge about the industry, but also more about marketing & sales. Day 1 they make it clear that they are willing to teach you all the necessary skills to succeed, even if it that means bringing those skills to another company in the future, they genuinely care about your career growth and development. The company truly takes care of their own. Between the relaxed environment, in-office catering, and quarterly events/trips, they know how to keep their team happy!

Cons

None that I can think of after 6 months here.

Company had potential, but now one of the worst run companies and cultures

Pros

Decent location for people looking for technology company in northern Charlotte, Product that is in high demand

Cons

A number of teams have been worked to their absolute breaking point. Tons of turnover, leadership only thinks of employees as resources not people. Only able to work from home twice a month. No career growth: Being good is not rewarded. You won't be promoted faster than the rest and won't get any kind of compensation for going above and beyond. Executives have zero experience in actual people management (especially two owners). Run as far as you can!!

First, I would like to apologize for my tardy response. Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback. I'm so glad that you like our office location...we love being so close to Lake Norman and all the great restaurants and shops! While our fast-paced growth is very exciting, we recognize that it has caused some of our teams to work additional hours. We are actively bringing in more resources to help and have several open positions that we would love to fill quickly, so if you have an employee referral, let us know! We also hope that our catered lunches, team building events, happy hours, and office outings have helped to decrease the stress. We are constantly meeting and brainstorming ways to improve this and maintain our fun, motivating, and encouraging culture. All ideas are welcome!
