There's a lot of cons. Everything you've read about the owner is true. He's absolutely the most unprofessional, micromanaging bully you've ever seen. He treats everyone like dirt, regardless of their tenure or status in the company. Apcon has some extremely smart people that could do great things, but the owner would rather have it his way and run the company into the ground. The employees that keep APCON afloat are paid scraps while the airheads in HR continue to get raises for reasons that have nothing to do with their qualifications or performance. In the last 5 months, 20 people have left the company. Thats roughly 15% of the entire staff. Stay away, do not work there.

Working here is complete chaos. There are massive holes in the management team because the CEO fires people regularly. He sees himself as a vision of Trump and treats his employees with disdain. Employees are underpaid, bonuses are a joke and the entire engineering/sqa department can expect to send weekly updates to the CEO on what they're individually doing. I'd call it micromanagement if he could manage anything. He's also desperate to get some of that cybersecurity money in the industry right now but the company has no concept of security. The company is a ticking time bomb. If you are desperate for a job while you look for something better this could be the place for you. Just don't break your ankle when you use this stepping stone.
