Pros

+ They have decent salary and benefits.

Cons

- Union Position, no opportunities for meritorious advancement or promotions - Dead end position, you will most likely have to move to another state or division for upward mobility. - Wireline Legacy, this position is based off of fading technology and retraining is an absolute must.

Thank you for your feedback and acknowledging the pay and benefits we pride ourselves on. Due to constant changes in the industry and technology, we sometimes have to restructure to remain competitive and meet the needs of the business. We encourage you to sit down with your supervisor to discuss your goals and aspirations with the company. We appreciate you and will ensure your feedback is heard!

Pros

GREAT sales training Good pay, both commission and hourly Lots of room for growth Fast-paced, you won't get bored because you're moving around all day and you're learning all about new technology before everyone else does Good benefits Easy to relocate if you are moving from one state to another (AT&T is almost everywhere) The best thing I took away from this job was the skills. AT&T takes a huge amount of time to make sure their employees know how to sell, but also just to know how to talk to people. Those skills will transfer to any other sales job and will make any other training program a breeze.

Cons

Floating schedule- you almost never have the same days off, you can never plan anything outside of work in advance because you never know what your schedule will be Next to impossible to get days off- once one worker picks a day to use for vacation or PTO, none of the other workers can pick that day. You literally have to plan your entire year in January or else you won't get the days off you want. Sick policy- there are no excused absences, if you call in sick you will receive a point. Points do not roll off until a year from the day they're received. Once you have four points you are on grounds to be disciplined, regardless of what your absences were for No weekends off- I worked at AT&T for 2 years and probably had 5 Sundays off the whole time. At most.
