Pros

The money was good because i worked my butt off, put in many unpaid overtime hours

Cons

do not work here it is a very poor place to work, no equipment, poor leadership. Mgr sits in his office all day trying to look pretty in his suit. At one point mgr brought in a car lift to store his fancy cars.

Pros

get to take a company truck home.

Cons

management is hard to deal with. they write you up for things that are hard to avoid just to cover themselves. sometimes that's understandable but not the way its done at abell. wish we could go back to being treated in a honest mannor.

Pros

-good pay never made less than $60,000 per year -truck comes home with you and they pay gas and insurance -flexible hours

Cons

You work way too many hours and only paid for 40 hours (50-60 hours a week you work) You are responsible for the customers in your assigned route. Your hours are typically 8am to 4pm Monday to Friday but if anyone of those customers needs an after hours service you are responsible for doing it. So you could work your 8 hours and then have to go back out at night for 2-3 hours more and start the next morning at 8am again. They book you into extra jobs on weekends without asking you if you can work. They have zero respect for you or your family. I was told that "we are in a service industry and we must serve the customer no matter what time or what day they call us". You are required to do 1 or 2 weeks of oncall per year. Basically any after hours calls that come in after 4pm until the next morning during the week and all day Saturday and sunday go to you across the GTA. During your oncall week you still have to work your regular hours. So you are working 24 hours a day 7 days that week for an extra $100. I once went out at 2am for a customer and wasn't paid for it and was told to be at another call for 7am that morning. The company abuses you and makes you work until you are burnt out. They have quality assurance and service managers which track every move you make on GPS and do random inspections of your accounts. If traps are dirty or even labels missing they will take away your incentive for that month. The company destroys your life and makes you work like a dog. I'm so glad I don't work here anymore and now I can actually sleep at night instead of being so worried and stressed about the next day that awaits me. On top of everything you are also responsible for sales in your route and they are constantly following up and tracking you to make sure you hit the monthly sales quota. Most guys have an incredibly hard time hitting the quota and if you don't then you have to go to Scarborough for weekly sales meetings so they can kill you even more.
