Pros

A legitimate company but toxic and bullying

Cons

My experience at this company was deeply disappointing due to a toxic workplace culture. I faced bullying from colleagues, and instead of fostering teamwork and collaboration, the environment was driven by unhealthy competition. HR was consistently irresponsible and failed to address serious concerns. The hiring process seemed focused solely on academic background and work experience, with little regard for character or professionalism. Unfortunately, this created a management team and workforce that often reinforced the same negative behaviors. Overall, the culture felt superficial and hostile rather than supportive or inclusive.

Thank you for sharing your perspective. We take feedback about workplace culture seriously, which is why this review is concerning and does not reflect the environment we strive to create every day. At our agency, we are deeply committed to fostering a collaborative, respectful, and supportive culture. We also want to clarify that we do not have an HR department; our People Experience (PX) team is specifically dedicated to employee support, engagement, and wellbeing. Any reports of bullying, harassment, or inappropriate conduct would be addressed immediately and thoroughly, and to date we have not received concerns matching the circumstances described here. While we cannot verify the experience outlined in this review, we continuously evaluate how we can improve the employee experience and maintain a respectful workplace for everyone. We encourage any current employee with concerns to speak directly with our PX team or leadership so issues can be addressed constructively and confidentially.

Thank you for sharing your perspective. We’re sorry to hear that your experience didn’t reflect what we aim to create at ATG. While we recognize that change can be challenging, the direction we’ve taken is intentional—and it’s working. Over the past year, we’ve strengthened our business strategy function, evolved our approach, and steadily brought in new clients. We also have a robust pipeline that positions us well for continued, sustainable growth. We know culture matters, and our employee engagement surveys consistently show that the majority of our team values the collaborative environment and forward-thinking leadership here. That doesn’t mean every experience is the same, but what you’ve described is not representative of what we typically hear. On AI: we are leaning in because it’s critical to the future of our industry—and our clients expect it. Our focus is on helping teams master these tools to enhance how we work: accelerating ideation and improving efficiency, but AI will never replace human creativity, judgment, or strategic thinking—it’s a complement, not a substitute. Regarding return-to-office, our three-day model is in line with (and often more flexible than) many peers, and we’ve seen gains in collaboration, productivity, and overall job satisfaction when teams come together in person. ATG has remained an industry leader for 45 years by evolving—adapting our model, investing in new capabilities, and balancing experienced talent with new voices. Many of our employees have built long tenures here, while we also continue to bring in early-career professionals who are excited about where the industry is headed. We understand that not every approach will resonate with everyone, particularly during times of transformation. We wish you the best and appreciate the time you spent with us.
